Wi-Fi signal spreads outwards and weakens through walls, floors and appliances. A few changes can make a noticeable difference.
- Place it centrally in your home, not in a cupboard or corner.
- Raise it off the floor — a shelf or desk is ideal.
- Keep it away from microwaves, cordless phones, large mirrors and metal objects.
- Point external antennas in different directions (one vertical, one horizontal).
- If the connection point is in an awkward spot, a mesh system or Ethernet backhaul can help.
