Modem lights are the quickest way to tell where a problem is. Labels differ between models, but most follow the same pattern.
- Power — solid when the modem is on. If it is off, check the power adapter and outlet.
- Internet / WAN — solid when connected. Flashing or red usually means the modem cannot reach the network.
- Wi-Fi — on or flashing when wireless is active.
- LAN / Ethernet — lights up when a device is plugged in by cable.
If your connection box (FTTP or HFC) has a red alarm light, note which light is red and contact us — it may indicate a fault outside your home.
